1. Introduction
Remylo ("we," "our," or "us") provides the Remylo mobile application (the "App") and this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App and when you visit our website.
2. Data Stored on Your Device and in iCloud
The App is designed to work without a Remylo account or a Remylo-operated backend database. Reminder data, such as reminder titles, schedules, repeat rules, snooze state, completion state, support settings, and app preferences, is stored on your device.
When iCloud is available for the Apple ID signed into your device, reminder data can sync through the user's private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. If iCloud is unavailable, signed out, or restricted, Remylo can use a mirrored local fallback store so reminders remain readable and writable on the device.
We do not operate a separate server that receives or stores the contents of your reminders.
3. Alarms, Notifications, and Badges
Remylo uses Apple system frameworks such as AlarmKit and UserNotifications to schedule reminder alarms, pre-alert notifications, follow-up notifications, and app icon badge updates. These reminder alerts are scheduled on your device through Apple's operating system services.
4. Purchases and the Paywall
The App offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Subscription status is verified using Apple's StoreKit framework.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask you to sign in to a Remylo account and we do not collect your name, phone number, or email address through the App. We do not use app analytics services, crash reporting services, advertising trackers, or marketing pixels in the App.
6. Website Information
This website is hosted using standard web infrastructure. Like most websites, our hosting and delivery providers may process basic request information, such as IP address, device type, and timestamps, to deliver content securely and reliably. We do not use website contact forms, marketing trackers, or analytics pixels on this site.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed with Apple for App Store purchases, iCloud and CloudKit sync, alarms, notifications, and operating-system services, and with website hosting and delivery providers to serve this site.
8. Data Retention
Your reminder data remains on your device and, when iCloud sync is available, in your private iCloud account until you delete it, delete the App, clear the App's storage, or change the relevant iCloud settings. Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies. If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain records of support conversations.
9. Your Choices and Controls
You can delete locally stored reminder data by deleting the App or clearing its storage in your device settings. You can manage iCloud availability through your Apple ID and iCloud settings. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
